Technical Sales Engineer

PREVCO Subsea, LLC is a subsea engineering consultancy, specializing in submersible pressure vessels, instrumentation housings, junction boxes, underwater camera housings, pressure relief valves and other subsea enclosures and accessories. Our customers are involved with tremendously interesting projects such as; subsea defense, search and survey, subsea control stations, detecting the presence of earthquakes and tsunami’s, or studying algae under the ice in the Antarctic.

We are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer with US Citizenship with a positive attitude that has at least 10 years of relevant Subsea/Ocean engineering experience. The candidate should have a minimum 4-year or higher degree in Ocean Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent field of study with experience within the subsea industry.

The ideal candidate needs to be a team player and be able to work well with others in a cooperative manner and provide positive reinforcement, be able to engage with other departments within the company. The candidate will be participating in all aspects of a project including; technical sales engineering design and collaboration, positive interfacing with customers, other employees, vendors and suppliers to produce a robust outcome.

Key rolls include:

• Technical Sales and support interfacing of the customer’s project with PREVCO’s products and services

• Travelling to and Visiting select customers as needed in the US and around the world,

• Assisting customers with information relevant to their project including;

a. Talk with customer on the phone, Placing orders, engineering solutions and developing projects

b. Respond to email inquiries

c. Travel to and attending various trade shows, exhibits and meetings

d. Setting up and preparing Quotes and Projects

e. Following through and maintaining previous contacts

f. Staying in contact with Customers through the progress of their project

g. Interface with engineering, shop, vendors, accounting and others as required

h. Helping customers with technical information including

a. Housing design

b. Material Selection

c. Housing details,

d. Customization

e. Accessories

• Suggest modifications to help make their project and our products work better together

• Present sales presentations to customers

• Help keep the PREVCO website and other marketing materials up to date

• Generate new ideas and solutions to help make products and the PREVCO system work better

Day to day responsibilities include;

• Design engineering

• Communicating with customers, vendors, other employees

• As required Solidworks Solid model generation and drawing development

• Generating quotes for customers

• Interfacing with Engineering as Quotes become projects

• Quality Assurance

Other responsibilities include;

• This position reports to administration but works cooperatively with all other departments

• Subsea system design

• Seawater corrosion prevention

• Material selection

• Coating systems

• Design to depth concept/method – PREVCO design software

• CAD Solid model and drawing development relating to sales

• Suggestions for new product development

• Design Reviews

• Developing procedures

Required PC based Computer Skills:

• Working knowledge of SolidWorks

• Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with Microsoft Project

• Familiarity with Microsoft Power Point

Required experience:

• Engineer – 10+ years

• Direct subsea experience with companies doing subsea projects, government, military a plus

• Previous security clearance a plus

Required license or certification:

• US Citizenship Required

• Speak and communicate in English

• Willing to undergo a background check in accordance with local Laws/regulations

Required education:

• Engineer – Bachelor’s minimum

Candidate must be a US Citizen with a US Passport and live within a reasonable commuting distance.

Job duties will be performed at the PREVCO facility located in Fountain Hills Arizona, USA, which is just east of the McDowell Mountains near Scottsdale, Arizona.
